KARACHI: The “Asia’s largest” market of sacrificial animals is set to be launched on May 10 at Northern Bypass in Taiser Town, organisers said on Sunday.

They named this year’s market the ‘smart cow mandi’.

According to a press release, the market is to be set up on 1,200-acre land and it would include an integrated network of CCTV cameras for security monitoring. The organisers have planned to introduce smart digital cards at the entrance for more convenience for the buyers and visitors.

An expert team of veterinarians has been designated to offer medical services. A food street will be another addition to facilitate the families along with the installation of an ATM for safe transactions.
