Over the last day, Israel’s military says it struck more than 40 “terror targets” from the air as it continues to pound central Gaza, Al Jazeera reports.
The targets included “underground launching posts,” “boobytrapped structures,” “observation posts,” and “rocket launchers”, according to the army.
Israeli air strikes, as well as sniper fire, also killed “numerous” fighters, it said without providing precise figures.
Since Tuesday afternoon, Israeli attacks in Gaza have killed at least 20 people, including four children in a house in the centre of Rafah.
