UPDATE ON A LEGEND

It was nice to see Tazeen Hussain, daughter of the legendary actor Talat Hussain and an actress and educationist herself, on a talk show speaking about her father and how he’s faring health-wise. After going down memory lane as to how he never discriminated between girls and boys when his kids were growing up, she mentioned that he’s suffering from dementia. Although he does recognise his family members, the age-related illness can be a frustrating challenge for a man used to memorising long script passages. We wish the great Talat Sahib the very best of health.

THE RESEMBLANCE

A lot of netizens have found an uncanny resemblance between Indian actors Ranbir Kapoor and Aaliya Bhatt’s daughter Raha and Pakistani singer Atif Aslam’s daughter Haleema. Looking at the two babies’ pics side by side we have to admit that they do look similar. To boot, both are daughters of very talented artists, so that should make the children happy when they grow up. However, we must point out that Atif A may never act or sing for a project with ‘Animal’ tendencies.

NOT NEPO

Actor Zaviyar Ejaz is senior actor Naumaan Ejaz’s son. Who doesn’t know that? What many don’t know, however, is that he doesn’t like to be counted as a nepo kid. In fact, he feels intimidated working alongside his dad. The young man has been quoted to have said that, at the end of the day, it’s all about one’s performance and not who one’s father is. Hmmm… how come only industry kids ever say this?

QUIETLY WED

Bollywood heartthrob Taapsee Pannu and Danish badminton player and Olympian Mathias Boe had been going out for quite a few years, but in a rather nondescript way. They didn’t make the headlines in the gossip columns often. In a similar manner to the way they conducted their romance, the two quietly tied the nuptial knot in Udaipur, Rajasthan on March 23. Congratulations to the couple! We wish them a smashing life on both sides of life’s court.

CARING EVA

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are one of Hollywood’s top-most and greatly admired celebrity pairs. They have two daughters together: the nine-year old Esmeralda, and Amada, who is seven years of age. Eva M hasn’t quit acting but hasn’t been working for a long time. In a recent interview, she explained the reason for it: “It was, like, a no-brainer. I’m so lucky if I could have this time with my children. Acting takes you on location. It takes you away.” How thoughtful of her! Hope Ryan G acknowledges what a lucky man he is.

DIDDY RAIDED

Recently, federal agents raided rapper and billionaire music producer Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ palatial homes in Los Angeles and Miami. The news befuddled a lot of people for a couple of days. Then came the details, according to which, firearms were recovered from the two places. That’s just the beginning. According to the police, the raids had also to do with ongoing sex trafficking and illegal narcotics investigations. Although he has not been charged with anything yet and Diddy’s lawyers have rubbished the allegations, it must be remembered that his record label is called Bad Boy Records after all.
