ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Imran Khan and administration of Adiala jail have finalised the standard operating procedure (SOPs) regarding the PTI founding chairman’s meetings with visitors to prison.

According to a report, Superintendent Adiala Jail submitted before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) Mr Khan has appointed three focal persons and each of them will give two names of visitors to the jail authorities.

The focal persons are Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Barrister Umair Khan Niazi and Sher Afzal Khan Marwat.

As per the SOPs, Mr Khan’s family members can visit the jail every Tuesday while Thursday will be for his meeting with the lawyers. Those who seek court direction can meet Mr Khan with his prior consent, it said. The SOP has been signed by Mr Khan and SP Adiala Jail Asad Javed Warriach.

The jail administration also shared the detail of Mr Khan’s visitors this week.
