Child dies catching kite

TOBA TEK SINGH: Despite extensive patrolling by police to prevent kite-flyers from celebrating Basant in Faisalabad on Friday, blatant aerial shooting and bid to catch stray kites left a 12-year-old dead and several others injured.

Police said Musa of Madina Town died in the DHQ Hospital hours after he was hit by a rickshaw when he was trying to catch a stray kite.

A press release said during the day, police arrested 325 kite-sellers.
