ISLAMABAD: Beaconhouse School (Margalla Campus) clinched the winning trophy of Lahore Grammar School (LGS) Challenge Cup, beating Westminster Academy at the F-9 Cricket Ground.

As many as five schools - Frobels, Beaconhouse Margalla, Lahore Grammar School team white and red as well as Westminster Academy Islamabad participated in the week-long tournament.

In a fiercely contested final, Beaconhouse School emerged triumphant against Westminster, showcasing commendable resilience at the F-9 Park Cricket Ground.

Though Westminster faced defeat in the final, its all rounder Hasan Ghumman was adjudged player of the tournament with 223 runs and four wickets including a brilliant 146 runs off 57 balls.

While it is uncommon for a player from the runner-up team to receive such acclaim, Hasan’s stellar displays left all opponents trailing behind, marking a truly exceptional achievement.
