MOHMAND: Five persons, including a woman, were killed and one was injured when the car they were travelling in collided with a bus on the Peshawar-Bajaur Road in Qayyum Abad area of Safi tehsil here on Sunday morning.

The injured was shifted to a hospital in Peshawar in critical condition.

A Rescue 1122 official said a car on way to Peshawar from Suran Matai Dara area collided with a bus coming from the opposite direction in Qayyum Abad area.

As a result, he said five members of a family riding in the car died on the spot, while one was injured.

The official said rescue teams reached the spot and retrieved the bodies and the injured from car and shifted them to District Headquarters Hospital, Ghalanai.

The deceased were identified as driver Hazrat Umar, his wife, Lal Bacha, Bakht Munir and Jahandad khan.

Their ages are said to be around 40 and 50.
