Jordan’s King Abdullah II and US President Joe Biden are expected to discuss the situation in Gaza when they meet in Washington, DC, Al Jazeera reports.

The visit comes after a recent video on Jordan state-owned media showed the king personally helping air drop medical supplies over Gaza.

A statement from the White House, which is hosting the visit, said the leaders would discuss “efforts to produce an enduring end to the crisis” in Gaza as well as the “strong bilateral relationship” between Jordan and the United States.

That bilateral relationship includes a US military base in Jordan’s northeast known as Tower 22, where three US soldiers were killed in a drone attack in January.
