THARPARKAR: In a significant move towards inclusivity, Tharparkar, a region synonymous with diversity, has made history yet again.

Rana Hameer Singh Sodha and PPP’s senior leader Dr Khatu Mal Jeewan have secured seats reserved for minorities in the Sindh Assembly.

Dr Khatu Mal Jeewan, hailing from the Meghwar community, which holds a substantial minority presence in Tharparkar, Umerkot, and Mirpurkhas, has a long-standing legacy of service. From being elected as MPA in 1988 to serve as senator, National Assembly member, adviser to the chief minister and minister for minority rights, his journey resonates with commitment and advocacy.

Joining the ranks is Surendar Valasai, the media spokesperson for Bilawal House, who has embarked on the race to represent minorities in the Sindh Assembly.
