HARIPUR: Unknown assailants shot dead a young man and dumped his body outside his house, the police said here on Wednesday.

Police quoted Mohammad Nawaz of Kalu Pind village as saying that his son, Mohammad Aqib, 20, left home for hunting on Tuesday evening, but didn’t return the whole night. The next morning, according to the complainant, they found his body lying in front of their house.

The police removed the body to the trauma centre, where autopsy was carried out. According to doctors and police, the body carried two bullet wounds, one in the chest and the other in the back.

The police have registered a case against the unknown accused as the complainant refused to nominate anyone, saying he had no enmity.
