DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Dera Ismail Khan commissioner Zafarul Islam Khattak has said four feeders of the district would be made loadshedding free in a week.
Talking to media persons at his office, he said after recovery of dues during the ongoing drive in the district, four feeders, including City One, Town Hall, Topanwala and Saddar, would be provided round-the-clock power supply to consumers in the first phase.
He said a letter had been written to the additional chief secretary home to contact the federal government in that regard.
The commissioner said process had been initiated to make four feeders – City Two, Muslim Bazaar, CRBC and Cantt-II – in the rural and city divisions loadshedding-free.
Mr Islam said elaborate security arrangements had been made to ensure the general elections were held in a peaceful environment.
UREA AVAILABILITY: The district administration is taking solid measures to provide relief to citizens under the Khushhal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa programme.
In this regard, assistant commissioner, Dera, Mohammad Faseeh Ishaq visited urea fertiliser dealers to inspect stock availability and ensure adherence to prescribed rates.
He conducted the visit on the directives of deputy commissioner Mansoor Arshad, who received public complaints about shortage of fertilizer and its sale at higher prices by the dealers.
Mr Ishaq asked the dealers to maintain records of available stock.
He warned them of strict action if any undeclared stock was found on their outlets.
He also asked the dealers to comply with prescribed rates and ensure a steady supply of urea.
He also asked farmers to report any complaints regarding non-availability or high pricing of urea fertilizer for prompt action.
