ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) swung into action on Thursday and got the three offices of Islamabad Electricity Supply Company’s (Iesco) sealed allegedly because of not paying CDA’s taxes.

In a rare development, the CDA’s Senior Special Magistrate Sardar Mohammad Asif on Thursday sealed the three main buildings of Iesco located in sector G-7, G-6 and F-8.

CDA officials have been stating that Iesco is defaulter of various taxes. When contacted a spokesperson for Iesco Raja Asim said that recently, the Iesco issued notices to CDA against pending payment.

He, confirmed that on Thursday, CDA sealed their three offices. “Now, teams concernedof both sides will sit together to discuss the issue of our outstanding amount and CDA’s plea of taxes, we are hopeful our offices will be de-sealed soon,” he said and added that high-ups of Iesco and CDA are in touch to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
