RAWALPINDI: On the occasion of the 147th birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, a photo exhibition titled ‘Quaid-i-Azam Kay Shab-o-Rooz’ was organised in Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi.

Director Arts Council Waqar Ahmad was the chief guest at the exhibition. Addressing the participants of the exhibition, he said that Quaid-i-Azam fought for the Muslims on the basis of two-nation theory.

Under the leadership of the father of the nation, he said that Pakistan emerged as an independent state in 20th century. By following the teachings of Quaid-i-Azam, the nation can overcome the problems and difficulties of the present day. The reason for our downfall is that we forgot the teachings of Quaid-i-Azam, he said.

Currently, he said that Pakistan is facing uncertainty. To solve it, he said that we need to follow the words of Quaid-i-Azam. Assistant Director Mohammad Suleman said that we are on the path of development in the field of literature and culture as per the vision of Quaid-i-Azam.

“We have to unite and reiterate our determination to stick to the teachings of Quaid-i-Azam,” he said.

He said that in order to achieve progress, the principles of unity, faith and discipline of the leader must be followed.

Portraits of Quaid-i-Azam and rare photographs of his life long journey were put on display in the exhibition.

He said that the new generation was enlightened about the life of the father of the nation, the struggle done in the journey of freedom through the exhibition. At the end of the ceremony, the birthday cake of Quaid-i-Azam was also cut. A large number of citizens participated in the photo exhibition.
