LAHORE: The Lahore High Court diary branches would remain open during the next two days, despite holidays, to entertain petitions relating to the nomination papers for the Feb 8 general elections.

Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti has ordered that the diary branches of the LHC at Lahore and Multan would remain open for the next two days.

According to a directive, the diary branches at Lahore principal seat and Multan bench would continue to function on Sunday (Dec 24) and Monday, (Dec 25) (despite official holidays) and petitions relating to hurdles in submission of nomination papers would be entertained.

It said petitions related to LHC Rawalpindi bench can be filed at Lahore principal seat and the petitions related to Bahawalpur bench can be filed at Multan bench.
