U Bank earns Rs1.7bn

KARACHI: U Microfinance Bank Ltd posted a net profit of Rs1.7 billion for the nine months ending on Sept 30 versus a loss of Rs513 million a year ago.

According to a press release, the bank posted a total revenue of Rs33.4bn in the period under review, up 135pc on a year-on-year basis.

Total deposits stood at Rs103bn with an annual growth of 44pc. The gross loan portfolio amounted to Rs72.5bn after increasing 59pc from a year ago.
