SUKKUR: Five men were killed when their car went out of the driver’s control probably due to fog and over-speeding and skidded into a ditch along the Indus Highway in Shikarpur district on Friday.

Police said that car overturned due to fog at a section of bypass. They retrieved the victims’ bodies from the badly mangled vehicle with the help of area people and shifted them to taluka hospital where the victims were identified as Muzaffar Bhutto, Ali Murad Sahito, Gehno Khan Taggar, Imtiaz Machhi and Ghulam Nabi Kalhoro, said police.

Police said all the victims were residents of Naushahro Feroz and they returning from Jacobabad when they met the accident.

The bodies would be handed over to heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities, said police, adding they were investigating the cause of the accident.
