RAWALAKOT: Prime Minister Bhutto said here today [Nov 7] that the Indian talk of autonomy to the people of occupied Kashmir was no more than a “trap”. Addressing a large public meeting here … Mr. Bhutto urged the Kashmiri leaders not to be taken in by the Indian move aimed at perpetuating the enslavement of the Kashmiri people. “For God’s sake you should never fall into this trap,” the Prime Minister said. … The motive behind the move was to entice the Kashmiri people into a cage from which they would never be able to get out, he added.

[Meanwhile, as reported by our staff reporter from Karachi,] Air Marshal (Retd) Nur Khan, the newly appointed Chairman of Pakistan International Airlines, said … that he will look into the state of affairs to make PIA an aggressive airline. … On arrival at the airport from Rawalpindi, he told newsmen that … nothing will remain secret from the public about the airline’s affairs … and added “I need some time to grapple with the problems”. … His appointment for the second time as Chief Executive … has been widely welcomed in PIA because of the deteriorating conditions prevailing for some time. … Nur Khan was Managing Director of PIA from 1958 to 1965.
