US Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez said it is “unacceptable to think that 1,700 Palestinian children alone are dead — that their deaths will somehow make up or justify the violence of what we saw on October 7” in an interview with anchorperson Mehdi Hasan on MSNBC.

“We are talking about the blockading of water, food and electricity to a population of 2.2m Palestinians, we are talking about dropping, what we are seeing from reports and confirmations and organisations like the Amnesty International and the Human Rights Watch, the dropping and deployment of white phosphorus which is also a war crime,” she stated.
