The PTI has said it will submit a requisition for an emergency session of the Senate to “persuade scholars to take direct action on the war crimes committed by the occupying state in Gaza”.

In a post on X, the party said Senator Barrister Ali Zafar would shortly submit the requisition to Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.

“The PTI will seek preparation and release of a national plan of action in favour of Palestinians and against Israel’s war crimes through the unanimous resolution of the Upper House,” it stated.

The party would also invite other representative political forces in the House to raise a unanimous voice, it added.
