LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday arrested three suspects in visa fraud case.

According to the FIA anti-human smuggling cell, Farooq Aslam and Ahsan Saddique were working as overseas employment promoters and charged handsomely from the complainants on a promise to send them to Australia.

On another raid, the FIA arrested Mansoor Akram in Bahawalpur for receiving money from people on the promise of sending them abroad.

Cases have been registered against the suspects.

Meanwhile, the FIA arrested Afzal for his alleged involvement in illegal foreign exchange case.

The FIA team during the raid met with resistance by the accused and his accomplices. The accused also snatched mobile phones and other valuables of the team and damaged its car and managed to flee, the FIA said.

In another raid, the FIA arrested Muhammad Ramzan in Dera Ghazi Khan for his alleged involvement in hawala and hundi business.
