SUKKUR: Twelve more suspects were arrested on Tuesday over their involvement in the Aug 14 murder case of Fatima Furro, a nine-year-old domestic help who was found tortured to death in the mansion of a spiritual leader, Pir Asad Shah, in Ranipur, Khairpur district.

The suspects included Aijaz Khaskheli, the driver of prime suspect Asad Shah’s wife Hina Shah. Khaskheli was arrested in Karachi by Khairpur police while 11 others were taken into custody from Asad’s mansion in Ranipur.

Khairpur SSP Mir Rohail Khoso said that Khaskhali was accused of helping Hina Shah in escaping arrest. He himself had gone into hiding afterwards, the SSP said.
