QUETTA: Judges of the Supreme Court and the Balochistan High Court have said that judgements based on justice streng­then relationship between the bench and the bar, calling upon lawyers and jud­ges to try to provide speedy justice to the masses.

Speaking at a farewell ceremony held here on Thursday in honour of Justice Abdul Hameed Baloch of the BHC, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail of the Supreme Court, BHC Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar said that lawyers and judges should provide speedy justice to the people in a professional manner with dedication and sense of responsibility.

Mir Ataullah Langove, Najam Uddindin Mengal and Khalil Ahmad Panizai arranged the farewell ceremony. Justices Muham­mad EJaz Khan Swati, Muhammad Kamran Khan Mallahkhal, Nazeer Ahmad Langove, Amir Nawaz Rana, Sardar Ahmed Haleemi, Shaukat Ali Rakhshani, Gul Hasan Tareen and Muhammad Iqbal Kasi of the Balochistan High Court attended the ceremony.

Justice Mandokhail said that after the change of SC administration, special attention would be paid to fixing cases relating to Balochistan. He said judges should work honestly and pass judgements based on justice.

He paid tribute to Justice Abdul Hameed Baloch and said he gave judgements based on truth and justice.

Senior advocates Mir Ataullah Langove, Muha­m­mad Afzal, Ali Ahmed Kurd, Abdul Ghani Khilji, Prosecutor General for Bal­ochistan Sajid Tareen, Balochistan Service Tri­bu­nal Chairman Nasee­b­ul­lah Tareen, High Court Bar Association’s Senior Vice President Mir Shamus-Ur-Rahman Rind, Quetta Bar Association President Abid Panizai and General Secretary Chan­gez Hai Baloch attended the ceremony, among others.
