PTI leader Asad Qaiser has approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking details of any case registered against him under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) ordinance.

In his plea, a copy of which is available with Dawn.com, he has asked the IHC to direct the Islamabad district commissioner to provide details on any such cases if they are filed against him and also asked for the grounds to be provided.

The former NA deputy speaker has also requested the IHC to stop the Islamabad police from arresting him under the MPO(3) ordinance.

Lamenting that thousands of workers across the country were booked in “fake cases”, Qaiser also mentions in the petition that he is booked under two cases and is on interim bail in both.
