TAFTAN: Iranian authotities on Tuesday deported 18 Pakistani migrants who had illegally entered the country.

The immigrants were handed over to Levies officials at the Rahdari Gate of MirJaveh-Taftan border near Chagai district.

According to sources, all deportees hailed from Punjab.

Initial interrogation suggested that they were aiming to reach Turkiye and European countries without legal documents for the sake of better livelihood.

The detainees were later handed over to the FIA for further interrogation.
