SUKKUR: A man throttled to death his 20-year-old wife with the help of his father in the name of honour at his home in Kechi Gabol village near Khanpur Mahar in Ghotki district the other day.

Police officials said that Soomro Gabol and his father Gul Hassan Gabol killed Ms Saima Gabol after accusing her of having extramarital affair with someone, and esca-ped away.

They said that they removed the body to taluka hospital where doctors carried out post mortem before handing the body back to the heirs.

ASI Liaqat Ali Mahar claimed to have detained the victim’s father-in-law Gul Hassan Gabol. Police had not yet registered any case against him, he said.
