RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Liaquat Ali Chattha on Saturday directed the authorities concerned to 100pc digitalise land revenue record in Rawalpindi Division by the review meeting being held next week.

He directed all the Assistant Commissioners to complete the collection of manual mozah.

He said that the purpose of the land revenue reforms is to save the people from unnecessary hassle in the government offices and to find immediate solutions to their land related issues.

In this regard, it is directed that all the districts of Rawalpindi division including Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Talagang and Murree should complete the targets given for revenue reform as soon as possible so that its positive effects can reach the people.

The commissioner Rawalpindi directed that the Block Khewats should be unblocked and the Interim mutation should be completed by March 31.

He expressed these views while presiding over a revenue-related meeting at the Commissioner’s Office. In the meeting, Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Dr. Hasan Waqar Cheema, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue NabilSandhu and other relevant officers attended meeting in person while Deputy Commissioners Attock, Jhelum, Murree and Chakwal participated through video link.

The commissioner further said that judicial cases should be heard by the deputy commissioners themselves and no one should have a case older than one year in their court.

He strictly instructed that tehsildar and naib tehsildar should give a detailed decision after hearing the stance of both the parties in any case.

The decision has to be typed along with all the details. He emphasised that every decision should be typed and not handwritten.

The Commissioner Rawalpindi Division directed the Deputy Commissioners to visit the Sub-Registrar Offices to ensure that they are accessible to the public and that they are being dealt with fairness.

On this occasion, Additional Commissioner Revenue while giving an update on the performance of all the districts on the five points of Revenue Reforms said that the target of 702 Dehi Markaz malls in Rawalpindi Division has been established, out of which 686 have been completed and operational so far.

Similarly, the target of the division in digital girdawari has been set up to 39,08,306 Khasaras (land record) which have been completed up to 92 percent.Total 298 target was fixed for preparation of manual Mauzas (villages) out of which 96 have been completed.

He further informed that 8876 land record were identified for Mouza tri-junction boundary mark out of which 4551 locations have been corrected so far.Interim mutation status is 93 percent completed so far.Likewise, 99,322 out of 101,466 blocked khewats have been unblocked so far.
