KARACHI, Jan 16: In compliance with orders of Sindh High Court and Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad, the Saddar Town Municipal Administration on Monday initiated a grand operation against encroachments and removed more than 600 roadside stalls being used for various commercial purposes.

Anti-encroachment officials of TMA and police participated in this operation while heavy machinery was also used, said a press release.

Four camps, comprised of relevant officials and staff, have been set up in Empress Market, Sharea Iraq, Regal Chowk and Aga Khan Road to stop encroachments from reappearing.

Meanwhile, Baldia Town Administration removed encroachments from four plots of 200 yards. —PPI
