RAWALPINDI: The body of the prime suspect, wanted by police, in the murder of four people in Kallar Syedan was found in the nearby jungle on Monday.

Naseer alias Sheri had allegedly committed suicide.

Ahmad Hussain had lodged a first information report (FIR) with police saying that Naseer entered his house on Friday night and opened fire on his wife, son, daughter and son-in-law killing them on the spot, before escaping.

Naseer was the stepbrother of Ahmad Hussain and the motive behind the murder was old enmity. Since Hussain escaped after killing four people, the police had been searching for him until his body was discovered from the jungle on Monday.

Naseer’s body was discovered by vice chairman Salgran who informed the police that the suspect’s body was found lying in the jungle while a 30-bore pistol was lying close to him and a repeater 12-bore gun was also found in a black bag.

Police said he had committed suicide by shooting himself.
