QUETTA: Security forces, along with Counter Terrorism Department of police, have seized a huge quantity of arms and ammunition from a hideout of terrorists in Chaman.

An ISPR press statement issued on Friday said security forces carried out an Intelligence Based Operation in Boghra Road area of Chaman to search for the hideout of terrorists linked with recent firing incidents on law-enforcement agencies and civilians in Chaman area.

As a result of continuous technical surveillance and reconnaissance of the area, a location of the terrorists was identified and security forces, along with the CTD, carried out the operation.

The ISPR further said that as terrorists had already escaped from the hideout, a huge cache of arms and ammunition including rockets, Improvised Explosive Devices and other accessories were seized.
