TOBA TEK SINGH: Faisalabad journalists and press photographers boycotted the press conference of former PTI minister Farrukh Habib at his office in Samnanbad on Wednesday after party activists tortured some reporters and cameramen.

Habib had invited the media to hail the ‘party victory’ in the Punjab and KP polls case after the apex court ordered voting in 90 days.

Some party workers reportedly objected to the placement of TV logos by cameramen. After some arguments, PTI workers allegedly thrashed journalists and cameramen. Habib tried to calm down workers but failed.

Press club president Shahid Ali announced boycott of the PTI coverage. A press release of the cameramen association also endorsed his decision and said their equipment and cables had been damaged by PTI workers.
