KARACHI: A woman was shot dead allegedly by her drug addict husband in Surjani Town on Tuesday, police said.

They said that Shahida Khan, 42, was killed by her spouse Jabal Khan over a family dispute at their Abdul Raheem Goth home. He managed to escape from the scene.

Area SHO Bashir Wadho said that the suspect was addicted to ‘ice’.

The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to fulfill medico-legal formalities.

Meanwhile, a 48-year-old man was shot at and wounded by armed robbers when he put up resistance in Gadap City on Tuesday.

Police said that Nawab Baig was shifted to ASH for treatment.
