ISLAMABAD: An anonymous Pak­istani-American citizen donated $30 million for the earthquake victims of Turkiye and Syria.

According to reports on Turkish media, the individual, who wished to remain anonymous, made the contribution during a visit to the Turkish embassy in the US.

“Deeply moved by the example of an anonymous Pakistani who walked into Turkish embassy in the US [and] donated $30 million for earthquake victims in Türkiye & Syria,” tweeted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif while hailing the contribution. He said such philanthropic acts “enable humanity to triumph over the seemingly insurmountable odds”.
