KARACHI: The Progressive Panel has swept the Karachi Union of Journalists’ (KUJ) annual elections for the sixth consecutive term.

Faheem Siddiqui and Liaquat Rana were elected president and general secretary, respectively, for 2023-24 in polls held at Karachi Press Club (KPC) on Saturday.

Naeem Khokhar and Qazi Asif were elected as vice presidents, Faizan Lakhani and Samir Qureshi as joint secretaries and Javed Qureshi as treasurer.

Lubna Zeeshan, Muhammad Kashif Siddiqui, Ismail Dilawar, Muddasir Ghafoor, Muhammad Azhar and Sajjad Khokar were declared winners as members of KUJ’s executive committee.
