ISLAMABAD: Noon police have registered a case against their own SHO and officials of Criminal Intelligence Agency (CIA) Lahore.

The police said the case was registered over kidnapping and wrongful confinement of a constable stationed at Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) along with his two siblings, stealing their two vehicles and cash.

The constable was released after four days but his siblings and two vehicles remain in CIA Lahore’s custody since October.

The case was registered at Noon police station on Wednesday (Jan 25) in response to a complaint lodged by CTD constable Shahid Nawaz.

According to the FIR, the CTD police official was living in G-15 for the last five years. His brothers used to stay with him occasionally.

On Oct 28, 2022, a team of CIA Lahore with the assistance of SHO Noon and his team raided his house and apprehended the constable and his brothers, the FIR said, adding that they searched the house and took away Rs40,000 and two vehicles.

Later the CIA officials took them along with the cash and two vehicles to Lahore and detained them there illegally, it said, adding that on Nov 1, 2022, the CIA Lahore released the constable.

The constable’s elder brother Khalidur Rehman lodged a complaint with Noon police on Nov 1, 2022, but he did not take any action, the FIR said.

Constable Shahid Nawaz refused to comment on the issue.
