SWABI: The 11th Indus Water Cross Jeep Rally was held under the aegis of Frontier 4x4 Club here on Sunday.

The organisers said total 70 drivers, including four women, from across the country, participated in the rally, and people belonging to different walks of life enjoyed the contest.

Officials of the district administration also graced the occasion.

A three-kilometre-long track was prepared for the purpose.

In the male category, Dr Tahir clinched the first position and Bibi Ayesha won the first position in the female category. Beryal Khan bagged the first position in the youth category.

Speaking on the occasion, Swabi deputy commissioner Nasarullah said that the event would send a strong message to the world that Pakistan was a peaceful country and its people loved sports.

He said more such events would be organised to give people the opportunity of tourism.
