LOWER DIR: A man killed his wife, her sister and a youth for honour in Jandrai Lamotai village here on Saturday, the police said.

Father of the slain women told the Thall police that the attacker first shot dead a youth, 21, in the verandah of his (complainant’s) house with a pistol, and when his daughters came out of their room on hearing gunshots, they too were shot dead. He said the man suspected her wife, 22, of having illicit relations with the youngster. He said his other killed daughter aged 17.

The complainant said his daughter was married two years ago, adding she had come to his house two days ago. He said he was asleep in a separate room when he heard gunshots. He said when he came out he found a youth lying in a pool of blood in the verandah of his house. He said the incident occurred in the wee hours of Saturday.

The police registered a triple murder case and started further investigations.
