KARACHI: An alleged robber was shot dead while another arrested with bullet wounds after an ‘encounter’ in North Karachi on Thursday night, said police.

Sir Syed police station SHO Shahid Taj said that the encounter took place between Shaheen Force and the alleged criminals in Sector-7-A near Bilal Chowk.

During the exchange of gunfire, one suspect identified as Jameel Irfan, 28, was killed while Ghulam Abbas, 38, was arrested with bullet wounds.

The dead and the injured were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The police claimed to have recovered two TT pistols, three cell phones and one motorcycle from them.

Skeleton found

A human skeleton was found from Gulistan-i-Jauhar on Thursday.
