RAWALPINDI: A terrorist was killed and a member of security forces embraced martyrdom on Wednesday in an exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces in Shewa area of North Waziristan, the military’s media wing claimed.

According to an Inter-Services Public Relations statement, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the terrorist, who was involved in attacks on members of security forces.

Havaldar Parosh, 35, a resident of Kohat, embraced martyrdom in the exchange of fire. Security forces launched an operation in the area to eliminate other terrorists, the statement added.
