BATTAGRAM: Special assistant to chief minister on revenue Taj Mohammad Khan on Saturday launched issuance of e-stamp papers in Battagram district.

On the occasion, he said the issuance of e-stamp paper was a ‘revolutionary’ step towards e-governance. “It will help stop issuance of stamp papers in back dates.”

Mr Taj said the step would help minimise property related disputes, setting exact market value of property and curbing tax evasion and fraud.

He said e-stamp papers could also be verified online.

He claimed reforms were being introduced in the government departments to uphold merit and transparency.

MAN SEEKS JUSTICE: A resident of Bar Tandol area of Allai tehsil has alleged that Banna police station officials are protecting the people, who had allegedly shot at and injured his younger brother, damaging his spinal cord.

Mr Sajidullah said his neighbours, namely Riaz and Khateef, had opened fire on him and his younger brother, leaving the latter injured.

He said his brother had suffered damage to his spinal cord and was paralysed.

He added he had taken his brother to a hospital in Peshawar, where doctors told him that his brother’s spinal cord had been damaged.

Mr Sajidullah said he reported the matter to the Banna police station, but the officials had yet to take action against the attackers, who were moving freely in the village with arms.

He demanded of the provincial and Hazara division police chiefs to order action against the Banna police station officials for their inaction against the attackers.
