LAHORE: The Punjab government reshuffled seven deputy inspector general of police (DIGs) on Monday.

According to a notification, awaiting posting, Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry has been transferred and posted as additional IG accountability branch against an existing vacancy; awaiting posting Shahzada Sultan has been transferred and posted as establishment-I DIG against an existing vacancy; awaiting posting Babar Sarfraz Alpa has been transferred and posted as Punjab special branch DIG VVIP security vice Afzal Mahmud Butt who has been transferred and posted as Punjab police school of intelligence commandant; Punjab Research and Development DIG Agha Mohammad Yousuf has been transferred and posted as Punjab special protection unit DIG against an existing vacancy; Punjab finance assistant inspector general of police Ghazi Mohammad Salahuddin has been transferred and posted as Punjab police welfare DIG vice Abdul Ghaffar Qaisrani who has been transferred and posted as Punjab Counter Terrorism Department DIG against an existing vacancy.
