LAHORE: The Punjab government on Thursday withdrew transfer orders for Punjab food department secretary Nadir Chattha only a day after he was directed to report to the S&GAD for further orders.

Consequently, the order to grant additional charge of the food department to literacy and non-formal basic education department secretary Wajihullah Kundi has also been cancelled/ withdrawn.

In a similar case, the Punjab government had only a couple of days ago posted Chief of Section P&D Board Abdul Rauf Mahar as Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi. It revised the orders and transferred Mr Mahar yet again and posted him back as Chief of Section, P&D Board, against a vacant post.

Meanwhile, DC Narowal Capt (retired) Shoaib Ali has been posted as DC Rawalpindi in his own pay and scale.

Punjab higher education department deputy secretary Muhammad Shahrukh has been transferred and posted as DC Narowal in his own pay and scale.

Punjab Public Libraries director-general Umar Jahangir has been relieved of his duties in Punjab government to join his new assignment at the Board of Investment on deputation.

OSD Muhammad Azhar Hayat has been posted as Punjab Public Libraries director-general.
