ISLAMABAD: Defe­nding champions Wapda will face Pakistan Army in the final of National Women’s Basketball Champ­ionship here at the Liaquat Gym­nasium of the Pak­istan Sports Com­plex on Friday.

Wapda, who have remained unbeaten in the championship so far, thrashed hosts Islamabad Blues in the first semi-final 63-21 on Thursday.

Wapda’s ace player Sidra Hakim earned 14 points while her team-mates Mehvish Nawaz (10) and Kainat Zafar (8) also did well.

Meanwhile, Army outclassed Karachi 66-15 in the other semi-final.

Army were too strong against Karachi who had played well in the championship but failed to click in the semi-final. Kashifa was top player for Army who scoring 15 points while Ayesha Khan bagged 12.
