NAROWAL: The Punjab Healthcare Commission has sealed two illegal private hospitals in Shakargarh. The citizens of Shakargarh tehsil had off and on complained about private hospitals to the Punjab Healthcare Commission, Lahore.

On public complaints, a PHC team led by Assistant Director Shoaib Hashmi made a surprise visit to the private hospitals of Shakargarh. The team inspected Syedah Zakia Khanum Hospital in Shakargarh city and found that lady doctor Amara Latif was not registered with PMDC in the private hospital.

The staff was not qualified and the hospital did not even have a licence from the healthcare commission.

The team also paid a visit to the private Gynaecology Hospital in Norkot Town. Lady doctor Fatima was not registered with PMDC. The hospital also did not have licence from PHC. On the order of Shoaib Hashmi, PHC Assistant Director sealed the hospitals for non-availability of qualified staff and providing poor health facilities to the citizens.
