QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has said the establishment of cadet college in Awaran is a gift for the Baloch youth.
The chief minister said this during a visit to the newly-established cadet college in Jhal Jhao town of Awaran district on Thursday.
Speaking to the students, he said the children of Balochistan wanted to become doctor and engineer and join army and other institutions after obtaining education in this prestigious educational institution.
“It is our responsibility to provide the best educational opportunities to our children,” the chief minister said, adding that over the past 20 years, insurgency had badly affected education and other sectors as it had pushed the development process of the province 30 years back.
The chief minister said peace was vital for development of the province. “We can achieve our development goals only by adopting the path of peace,” Mr Bizenjo said, adding that the cadet college would not only educate and facilitate the students of Awaran, but students of nearby districts would also benefit from it.
“I thank former chief minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa and top army officials for implementing the plan of establishing a cadet college in the area,” Mr Bizenjo said.
