SWABI: Doctors of Yar Hussain category ‘C’ hospital here Wednesday boycotted duty as a protest against the district health department officials’ failure to take action against a nurse and technician in a case of misbehaviour and misconduct.

The incident of misconduct had occurred in the hospital on July 29, 2022.

They said that later an inquiry was conducted and two doctors were transferred out of district, but no action was taken againstthe lower staff.

They said the recommendation for action against the nurse was sent to the health secretary’s office through letter No 7500/E -5/DHO Swabi on Aug 4, 2022, with its copy to the DGHS office, Peshawar.

The protesting doctors said a reminder was also sent to the authorities from the DHO office in September.

Dr Asfandyar who led the doctors claimed the lower staff was enjoying the support of some ruling partypoliticians and that’s why no action was taken against them.
