MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has spared Rs 100 million to be provided as humanitarian aid to the earthquake-stricken people of Afghanistan.

In a message on the occasion, AJK Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas said the entire Pakistani and Kashmiri nation was deeply saddened by the loss of precious lives and property in Afghanistan as a result of the devastating temblor and stood by their affected Afghan brethren in this hour of pain and grief.

He said the procedure to transfer aid money would be decided in consultation with the Foreign Office and the national security agencies of Pakistan.

A special delegation representing the AJK government would also visit Kabul to express solidarity with the victims of natural calamity, he said.
