KARACHI: A sessions judge on Wednesday issued notices to police on an application seeking removal of the investigating officer of the Dua Zehra abduction case.

Additional District and Sessions Judge (East) Serishtedar also summoned the Additional Inspector General (investigation) and SSP-East to personally appear along with a complete report as well as all accused persons nominated in the case on July 1 (tomorrow).

Meanwhile, the first meeting of a 10-member special medical board to ascertain the age of Dua Zehra was held on Wednesday. However, the girl did not appear before it. The board asked the parents to provide relevant documents pertaining to her birth and school certificates.
