LAHORE: The Nishtar Colony police on Wednesday registered a case of a teenage girl’s kidnap against a woman and her relative.

The FIR was registered on the complaint of Sofiaabad resident Mohammad Shahbaz who alleged that Naheed Akhtar and Shahid Abbas barged into his residence and kidnapped his 14-year-old daughter Fatima.

Shahbaz said the suspects were residents of Theeng Mor of Kasur and he called 15 to seek help of police but no one came there.

He appealed to the senior police officers to take notice of the incident, recover her daughter from the kidnappers and also take action against the police for not responding to the frequent calls he had made on 15.

A police officer said investigation had been launched into the kidnap incident which apparently seemed a matter of a marriage dispute. He said police were trying to trace the location of the girl for her recovery.
