KARACHI: Following the catching of some 52 cheaters a day earlier and 41 more on Friday during the annual Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations being held here under the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK), the Sindh government has decided to make a major decision against the copying mafia throughout the province.

To add to the problem of cheating, there were also 18 people discovered solving examination papers in place of the real candidates.

Like the previous day where the most students caught cheating were doing it during their class nine Biology paper, most students caught cheating on Friday were those appearing for their class 10 Biology paper.

The Minister of Universities and Boards of Sindh, Mohammed Ismail Rahoo, said that in Sukkur, said that 196 students were also caught while cheating in Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana and Nawabshah while 61 people were caught giving exams in place of someone else in examination centres.

He said more than 400 mobile phones were caught in a examination centre on the fourth day of the examinations, which is shocking.

The Sindh government has decided to slap a major penalty on the students who shall be caught cheating in exams along with the teachers who are found involved in the same act.
