THE term globalisation is defined as the process of connecting people, economies, cultural convergence, goods, services and technologies across the globe. However, it has produced several adverse effects, like the global dominance of the core states over those completely or partially on the periphery. This, among other things, has led to cultural imperialism and fluctuations in terms of employment and markets.

Globalisation is nothing, but a new form of dictating masses and suppressing the poor social classes. It is rightly said that globalisation is only a new form of imperialism. Thus, it can also be said that the concept of globalisation is like the neo-colonialism across the world.

During colonialism, the country used to physically impose its will onto another country by going there, but today a country can be dictated through surveillance systems alone.
